Linea Sketchbook App from The Iconfactory Is Simple, Pricey
The Linea sketchbook app for iPad is the newest creation from The Iconfactory, the maker of the popular Twitter client, Twitterrific. The $9.99 app is available for download on the App Store.
An overview
Pronounced “Lin-ee-uh,” the app is optimized for use with Apple Pencil, although it also responds to a normal stylus or your finger.
Linea comes with a wide range of pre-defined colors or you can customize colors with a single tap. Auto-generated tints and shades are also included. Simplified layers are easy to merge or rearrange. A Touch Eraser allows you to wipe the screen clean with ease.
Linea also offers a wide range of traditional grids, 3-D isometric lines, storyboards, and templates for iOS screen or icon design.
Ready to export? The Linea sketchbook app exports your work as a layered Photoshop document, transparent PNG, and more. You can also export entire drawings or cropped portions to a range of services including Slack and Dropbox.
