Product Graveyard: Where You Go to Remember Your Favorite Apps
Say hello to Product Graveyard, a place where old apps go to reminisce about past App Store glories and where you can find great alternatives.
For every Instagram or Spotify, there’s a Vine or Grooveshark. Apps and internet services that no longer have a pulse finally have a place to call home. The Product Graveyard currently lists 1,056 deceased products and counting.
For every title listed in the Product Graveyard, you’ll see its cause of death and lifespan. Each listing also includes information on how the app will be remembered and the platforms it had supported.
One of the things I found most interesting by reviewing Product Graveyard is just how many app titles I had forgotten. Admittingly, there were a few titles on the list I didn’t even know were gone.
Are you looking for a current app to replace one that’s no longer supported? Product Graveyard has that information too.
For example, although Photoshop Touch is no longer with us (it was retired in May 2015), you can still grab PS Express, Pixelmator, Snapseed, or VSCO as alternatives.
Product Graveyard promises to commemorate “the most memorable products that have gone away” and help find “some alternatives along the way.” It does this wonderfully.
