Game developers built it with crossword lovers in mind as well, creating a separate mode they called CrossIt. Its rules are also uncomplicated, and its goal is to guess all the words in the crossword puzzle.

However, you can guess them using only the letters that show up on the board. Depending on how confident you feel about crossword puzzles, create words using four to eight letters.

To make your task a little easier, you can shuffle the letters by changing their order on the board. It gives your mind a better chance of associating words.

The simplicity of using this game and the difficulty in guessing the correct word are the main reasons why it is so good to play it.

The interface is very transparent, the words and letters are large enough to see everything, and the rules couldn’t be more simple. You type the word, see if you hit the letter, and keep guessing until you discover the hidden word.

However, we often do not realize how many words exist. According to the Free Dictionary list, there are more than 158,000 five-letter words. With such an enormous volume, guessing the right word can give you a lot of trouble, and this is what can get you into hours of playing this game.

PuzzWord was inspired by another game, Wordle. However, with PuzzWord you can discover as many words a day as you wish, while Wordle allows you to solve only one.

As a matter of fact, there are tons of games that are modeled after WORDLE, but compared to them, PuzzWord is simply the best.

It’s because it lets you put correct letters in their spots and try to fill in blank places to guess the main word without having to spell letters over from the beginning. You can also delete individual letters without having to erase the whole word.

The moment you start playing the game, you quickly realize even though it’s free, it actually isn’t. What it means is that if you don’t want to pay for it, you can only guess two words a day, and to fully immerse yourself in it, two words are just not enough. 

After you have used two chances, you will be asked to pay for a subscription. It’s either $2.99 for a week or $29.99 for a year. However, if you are using the application for the first time from your account, you can choose the option of a weekly subscription and cancel it after three days without incurring any costs.

If you do not have a paid subscription, you also cannot select difficulty levels or extra mods, which can additionally discourage new users. Plus, it’s only available in Apple’s store.

The main audience of this game is adults who want to stimulate their brains to action. So if you are looking for an interesting educational game that will be a fun challenge and a tool for working on vocabulary, PuzzWord is for you.

However, if you are the parent of children who are of school-age and want to influence how they spend time on their smartphones, let them play it as well. Thanks to this game, your kids will expand their vocabulary and learn how to read, spell, and pronounce words correctly. Just make sure to choose an adequate difficulty level for their age.

You can also play with the whole family in your free time, creating rankings to find out who is the best for a particular day, week, or month.

PuzzWord is an educational game that can keep you engaged for hours due to its simplicity of use and difficulty in guessing words. It was created for adults, but if you are a parent and want your kids to use their smartphones reasonably, let them try it so they can work on their vocabulary. Unfortunately, even though the game is free, you have to pay for a subscription if you want to fully enjoy it. Overall, it’s definitely worth giving it a shot!
