A week for new betas

On Tuesday, July 5, Apple unveiled new developer betas for iOS 10, macOS Sierra, tvOS 10, and watchOS 3. One day later, the first public betas for iOS 10 and macOS Sierra arrived. Those not willing to jump on the beta train will receive the new software versions this fall.

The death of the 16GB iPhone

The Wall Street Journal has confirmed that Apple is no longer going to produce 16GB iOS devices beginning this fall with the “iPhone 7.” Instead, the lowest priced smartphone is said to feature 32GB of storage.

There are differing views on whether this possible change is good for consumers. In a post for Forbes, Gordon Kelly says yes.

Not so fast, says Gizmodo’s Stan Schroeder, who believes that 32GB is still not enough.
