The awesomeness that is September has begun

It’s September, a month when most tech companies unwrap new goodies that they hope will sell well during the all-important holiday shopping season.

Today, Samsung announced new wearable devices, including the Apple Watch competitor the Gear S3. Over at Sony, the Xperia XZ and X Compact smartphones have arrived. On Sept. 6, LG is likely to announce its new V20 phone.

On the same day as Apple’s “iPhone 7” event, Sept. 7, Sony is expected to announce a new PlayStation 4 model. Finally, Google could announce new Nexus products before the end of the month.

With so much happening, there is something for every tech user to love in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

An “iPhone 7” bundle?

A new leaked image suggests that some “iPhone 7 Plus” models could come bundled with new wireless “AirPods.”

As first reported by AppleInsider, the image purportedly shows a box containing a 32GB iPhone 7 Plus. They note:

Under a description of what’s inside the box, the packaging claims the purchase is bundled with new “AirPods Wireless Earphones.” Earlier leaks instead showed their units including new EarPods with Lightning Connector.

Notably, the earlier photos also made mention of a Lightning to Headphone Jack Adapter being included in the box. But the latest image for a 32-gigabyte “iPhone 7 Plus” with “AirPods” makes no mention of a 3.5-millimeter headphone adapter being bundled.

We’ll know more about the iPhone 7 very shortly. Apple’s Sept. 7 event begins at 10 a.m. PDT.
