Developers will soon be filing out of San Francisco, California as Apple’s 27th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) comes to a close. The five-day event launched iOS 10, macOS 10.12, tvOS 10, and watchOS 3.
Olli
A 3-D printed bus?
Local Motors, an Arizona-based automaker that crowdsources design, is launching the world’s first 3-D printed bus. Called Olli, the electric shutter bus uses IBM Watson’s car-focused cognitive learning platform. Demonstration rides are available on the new National Harbor campus near Washington, District of Columbia. (The Verge)
Apple is accused of copying a design … in China
The Beijing Intellectual Property Office has demanded that Apple stop selling the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the city. The are accused of infringing “the design patent of some random Chinese company’s ‘100C’ smartphone under the ‘100+’ brand,” according to Engadget.
Not surprisingly, Apple plans to appeal this decision. In the meantime, both handsets remain available in Beijing.
