Here's Your Tool to Find AirPods In Apple Retail Stores
Are you planning on standing in line to try and buy a pair of Apple AirPods? Use this tool to find AirPods at Apple retail stores.
On Thursday, an anonymous retail source told MacRumors that Apple would begin selling AirPods in the company’s retail stores starting on Monday, Dec. 19. If correct, this means that retail customers could have a pair of the truly wireless earbuds in their hands before shipments arrive at customers who placed the first online orders. Those orders aren’t supposed to come until Wednesday, Dec. 21.

Credit: iStockNow LiveLong popular with customers looking for the latest iPhone, iStockNow offers live inventory tracking for key Apple products. The site is ready to go for AirPods tracking. Not surprisingly, there’s no stock yet available on this Friday, Dec. 16.
First introduced in September at Apple’s iPhone 7 launch event, AirPods were supposed to arrive in stores in October. The two-month delay ended last week when Apple began accepting pre-orders for the $159 earbuds. The first AirPods orders showed a delivery date of Dec. 21. Within 20 minutes, that delivery window shifted to four weeks.
Orders placed today won’t arrive for six weeks.
AirPods feature Apple’s new custom Apple W1 chip, which uses optical sensors and a motion accelerometer to detect when the earbuds are in your ears. The wireless AirPods deliver five hours of listening time on one charge. The included charging case holds additional charges for more than 24 hours of listening time. Fifteen (15) minutes in the case gives you three hours of listening time.
