Sprint Unlimited Data Plans

Unlimited data plans are no longer offered at AT&T and Verizon. The same can’t be said for Sprint and T-Mobile. Both companies recently launched new plans worth considering.

Sprint

Sprint

Sprint is now offering a new unlimited data plan with up to five lines for $90 per month. The deal offers data, talk, and text for $50 per month for one line, or $90 per month for two lines. Lines three through four are added for free.

The plan guarantees the savings through March 31, 2018. Thereafter, you’ll pay $60 per month for the first line and $30 per month for each additional line. This limited-time offer is only for new Sprint customers and you use AutoPay to qualify. Data throttling is possible during “times of congestion.”

The fine print:

Savings until March 31, 2018; then $60/mo. for line 1 and $30/mo. lines 3-5. Mobile optimized: video streams at up to 480p+ resolution, music at up to 500kbps, gaming at up to 2Mbps. Data deprioritization during congestion. Pricing shown with $5/mo./line AutoPay discount applied within two invoices. Requires eBill and new account activation. Other monthly charges apply.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile

With a T-Mobile ONE plan, taxes and fees are now included in the listed price. You pay $40 per line for up to four lines with AutoPay. You can also qualify for $150 back per line when you switch.

The fine print:

Video typically streams at 480p. On all T-Mobile plans, if congested, top 3% of data users (>28GB/mo.) may notice reduced speeds due to prioritization. Sales tax & regulatory fees included mo. service price. Fin. agmt rq’d for smartphone offer; $150/line via prepaid card.

These both sound look good deals. Keep in mind, however, that they don’t include the cost of a new smartphone.
