Quirky App Of The Day: Collect The Keys To Your Freedom In Dark Castle Escape

Dark Castle Escape (Free) by Zhiqiang Huang is a simple game that will make you think while you struggle to free yourself. Hidden around the castle are keys that will unlock various doors. In order to free yourself, you’ll have to unlock every door.

Unlike other escape games, you can’t look to the left or right. You can only interact with objects that you see directly in front of you. You can, however, click on staircases to move up and down to new levels.

You can pick up other objects to help you find the key you need. You can also combine them to make new items. The most complicated combination involved three separate pieces. Everything else only involved two items.

There’s a large golden stature that is missing three seals. You find these seals while you’re looking for the keys. When all three seals have been returned to the golden statue, you’ll receive the final key.

I beat this game fairly quickly. I would consider myself to be mediocre when it comes to escape games. People who are advanced would probably be bored. Beginners, however, might become frustrated when they get stuck. There are no hints available in this game. I did find a walkthrough though. You can check out the link here.
