Quirky App Of The Day: Send The Rabbits Flying In Bunny Bonker
Bunny Bonker ($1.99) by Vanessa Chia is an arcade game that builds off of the premise of the old school Whac-A-Mole game. The point is to tap on as many bunnies as you can in a set amount of time. Once you tap on them, bunnies go flying everywhere.
There are three chapters that you can play through, and each one takes place in a different location. You can choose from the savannah, the sea, or outer space. Each of these locations has 10 levels. There’s also a special bunny that is specific to that chapter, like the masked hunter bunny in the savannah or the astronaut in the space chapter.
In order to move to the next level, you have to reach a specific score. For example, the first level in the savannah chapter requires you to earn 500 points before moving on to level two. The next level requires you to earn 750 points. The game steadily increases the amount of points that you need to pass the level.
To help you earn more points, the bunnies aren’t the only thing that you can tap on. Many bunnies are holding objects like eggs, radios, or coffee cups. When you tap on the bunny, they let go of the object, and you can tap on it for extra points. They also have fun surprises. For example, if you tap on an egg, it opens up, and a bird flies away.
There’s also a bonus game that you can play. Don’t worry. You don’t need to beat the whole game before you can play it. It’s available from the start. Those pesky bunnies haven stolen pies. Your job is to save as many slices as you can by tapping on them. The pie slices are thrown out of a wagon which rolls back and forth. Get the pies before the wagon rolls over them.
There are bunnies everywhere in this game. The question is whether or not you have the skill to tap on enough of them to meet your score quota before time runs out.
Bunny Bonker is a universal app, and it’s available in the App Store for $1.99.
