If There's Something Strange In Cut The Rope, Who You Gonna Call? Om Nom, Of Course!
Just moments after Doodle Jump and the most recent edition of Angry Birds received their respective major updates, yet another beloved iOS game also got its own update. Cut the Rope, the popular physics puzzler starring the candy-loving little monster Om Nom, has recently been updated with brand new content. And, boy, is it spooky. Cut the Rope has gained another package of new levels called Spooky Box. Containing 25 new levels, Spooky Box introduces a new gameplay element, which just happens to be of the spooky kind: ghosts. Halloween may still be a couple of months ago, but Cut the Rope is already doing some supernatural trick or treating. Fret not, though, as the ghosts are not included in Cut the Rope to scare dear Om Nom away. They’re actually there to help him get his much-coveted candy. Just tap the ghosts to transform them into bubbles or bounce pads to help you guide the candy toward Om Nom’s mouth. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Aside from the new Spooky Box, the latest update to Cut the Rope also introduces new superpowers. Actually, these superpowers have been available in Cut the Rope: Experiments. But it’s only now that they’re made available through in-app purchase in the original Cut the Rope. With these superpowers, you can beat tough levels by activating Om Nom’s telekinetic powers and move the now unbreakable candy around the screen. In addition, superpowers come with a fourth star, which helps you unlock more levels. Candy-coated with Retina graphics, Cut the Rope for iPhone and Cut the Rope HD for iPad are available in the App Store for $0.99 and $1.99, respectively.
