The Angry Birds Battle On The Red Planet In A New Update

The Angry Birds and NASA are teaming up once again. In the latest update of Angry Birds Space, those crazy pigs have hijacked the Mars Curiosity rover in their constant quest to find eggs. And the birds must travel to the Red Planet to save the day.
Here’s a quick video showing exactly what the rover found on Mars. Click here if you can’t see the video.
The new update adds 20 regular levels and two antenna egg levels to blast through on Mars.
Players will be battling a brand new porker foe, the Astronaut Pig, while avoiding explosive volcanoes and fire asteroids.
There will also be three hidden rovers and landers scattered among the levels. If you can find them, you’ll open special bonus levels and discover more about the NASA missions.
We first reported on news of the additional levels earlier this month. Rovio then said the update would come sometime this fall, but I’m pleased to see the new content appear so quickly.
The app is available in two different versions. Angry Birds Space is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and is $0.99 in the App Store while the iPad only Angry Birds HD will set you back $2.99.
