Flickr For iPhone Updated With Improved Facebook And Twitter Integration

December 20, 2012
Just a week after its new major redesign was unveiled, Flickr for iPhone has already received another update. The update, which is said to have been issued in response to user feedback, contains a number of new enhancements. Most notably, the update improves the app's integration with two of the most popular social networks on the planet, Facebook and Twitter. In the latest version of Flickr for iPhone, it's now easier to share your Flickr photos on Facebook. As well, you can now get instant notification when any of your Facebook friends joins Flickr. As for its integration with Twitter, the app now lets you easily find and follow your Twitter connections on Flickr. Just head on the More tab and tap Find Friends. There you can add people you already know from Twitter and other social networks to your Flickr contacts. Designed for iPhone and iPod touch, and optimized for iPhone 5 and the fifth-generation iPod touch, Flickr is available in the App Store for free. The app's latest update also includes better visibility of photo upload status and notification support for when someone comments on a photo you've also commented on. In the wake of Instagram's new terms of service controversy, this update to what is arguably the best Instagram alternative out there couldn't have arrived at a more opportune time.
