Lots Of F-U-N Await As You Rush Into Word Building Supremacy In Letter Rush
When Zynga shuttered its Boston studio last year, some of the affected developers banded together and formed a studio of their own called Proletariat Inc. And now, their first foray into independent game development has emerged for public enjoyment. Proletariat's debut game is called Letter Rush, and it's a lot of F-U-N:
Throw out your bags of letters and those sloth-paced word games! Letter Rush puts an arcade-spin on the classic word find genre. Match oncoming words quickly to score big points, finish goals, and compete with your friends!Unlike in Letterpress, which is easily one the best word games on iOS, time is of the essence in Letter Rush. Indeed, in the game, you have to rush to spell words as they pass across the screen. If you're not quick enough, the words are likely to go over the edge and it's game over for you, my friend. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. So, muster all your word-building and letter-swiping (or letter-tapping) strength and engage in Letter Rush battle, be it in single-player or multiplayer mode. Check out the video above to get an idea as to the mechanics of Letter Rush. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Letter Rush is available now in the App Store for free. In related news, Zynga recently launched a new Wheel of Fortune-like word game called What's the Phrase. Incidentally, What's the Phrase is the first game released by Draw Something creator OMGPOP since it was acquired by Zynga nearly a year ago. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
