Marvel Unlimited For iOS Gets First Marvelous Major Update

April 27, 2013
The official iOS app for Marvel Unlimited, Marvel's digital comics subscription service, has just received its most "super" update yet. Oops, its most "amazing" update yet, I should say. The latest update to Marvel Unlimited introduces a new section in the app's home screen. This section helps you discover new series and story lines as it highlights monthly editors' picks and content. For this month, the spotlight is on Ultron, and the editor's picks focus on "Critically Acclaimed" titles, titles with "Robots, Cyborgs & Metal Men," and "In the Beginning … " titles. The new update also includes improvements for the app's comics reader, most notable of which is support for full-screen reading. Also, it adds support for sharing comics and content via Facebook, Twitter, and email. And if you want to own any of the comics in Marvel Unlimited, just tap the "Own It" link to buy your desired title in the Marvel Comics app. If the Marvel Comics app is not yet installed on your iDevice, you'll be redirected to its App Store page, from which you can download the app for free. The new Marvel Unlimited update also brings bug fixes and UI optimizations. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.1 or later, Marvel Unlimited is available in the App Store for free. For $10 a month or $60 per year, Marvel Unlimited offers readers access to more than 70 years of Marvel's comic books. The app, which was released just last month, supports offline reading for up to six titles and easy browsing by character, creator, comics event, and series. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
