Rovio Teases Upcoming New Chapter In Original Angry Birds Game
A brand new chapter is set to slingshot its way into the original Angry Birds game. A while ago, Rovio posted the above photo on Twitter, teasing the imminent arrival of an all new level pack in the game that started the Finnish entertainment company's hit franchise. The new chapter is expected to introduce a special power for the Red Bird, according to the pun-filled tweet that accompanies the photo: Pocket Gamer, the new chapter is blurred in the photo, so any clue as to what it might be called or what it might be themed after is not provided by Rovio. A release date for the update that will deliver the new chapter is also yet to be announced by Rovio. The last content update to the original Angry Birds game was released back in March, when it received its "piggest" episode ever in the form of the Bad Piggies chapter. Coinciding with that update, Angry Birds went free for the first time ever. Last week, Rovio teased a new Angry Birds title called Angry Birds Go!. Judging by the short animation on the upcoming game's teaser website, it's likely to turn out to be either a racing game or an endless runner. Angry Birds Go! is set to be the seventh entry in Rovio’s hugely successful franchise, not counting the spin-off game Bad Piggies. It follows the original Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space, Angry Birds Star Wars, and Angry Birds Friends.
