Rovio is not about to stop milking its — mangled animal metaphor alert! — Angry Birds cash cow anytime soon. The Finnish game development studio has just announced that it's working on a new Angry Birds title called Angry Birds Go!. A definite release date and supported platform at launch are yet to be announced by Rovio. But one thing's for certain: those feathered fiends and their corpulent combatants are back for another potential hit:
Those birds and piggies are getting ready for their most thrilling and action-packed game yet! All your favorite characters are returning for a brand new title that will bring you closer to Piggy Island than ever before. It’s Angry Birds, but not as you know it!Angry Birds Go! is going to be the seventh entry in Rovio's hugely successful franchise, not counting the spin-off game Bad Piggies. It's set to join the original Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space, Angry Birds Star Wars, and Angry Birds Friends. At the moment, it's unclear what Angry Birds Go! is actually going to be. But it appears that the upcoming title is likely to turn out to be either a racing game or an endless running game. At least as much can be speculated from the Angry Birds Go! teaser website put up by Rovio, which shows one of the title characters zooming off and leaving a scattering of feathers in its track.
