Tower Defense Goes Medieval In Age Of Thrones: Available Now For iPhone

Fans of the tower defense genre will be pleased to hear that there's a new kid on the block. Called Age of Thrones, the recently released iOS game provides users with a medieval-themed environment to control and protect. Featuring countless unique levels, a variety of enemies, and a number of magical spells for players to cast, Age of Thrones can be downloaded in the App Store for $1.99, and is optimized for the iPhone and iPod touch only. Developed by Nexrage (an "indie" iOS developer), Age of Thrones offers iDevice owners a total of 18 unique levels to work through, and features attractive, cartoon-style animations and voice narration. Further features of Age of Thrones include:
  • 16 different types of towers usable in-game
  • 4 different types of castles buildable in game
  • 20 different types of enemies, ranging from ground, armored, flying, and warships
  • 4 Hero Spells usable during game to help fight tougher foes
  • Full tier talent tree to customize your gameplay
  • Various difficulties, Endless Mode, and Casual Mode (for people on the go), and Iron Maiden modes
  • Well balanced, and many ways to beat any level
  • Heavily focused on free-path TD, but also has fixed path elements mixed in
Though most of us have been enjoying Plants vs. Zombies 2, Age of Thrones looks to be an impressive alternative - albeit one that carries a price-tag of $1.99.
