Flickr For iOS Enhanced With Live Filters Plus New Camera And Editing Tools
August 29, 2013
Flickr for iOS has just snapped a "filterrific" update.
The official iOS app of Yahoo's popular photo-sharing service has just been updated with several new enhancements focused on filters.
First off, Flickr for iOS has gained a brand new set of filters that makes for dynamic and stunning effects.
On top of that is support for live filters, which allow you to scroll through filters and preview the effect of each of them before you take your photo. And then on top of that — yes, this new update is rather multilayered — is support for filter customization, enabling you to fine-tune your filters until you find them exactly to your liking.
Along with these new filter features, new camera and editing tools are included in the new Flickr update, complete with animated transitions.
For camera tools, you have grids, pinch-to-zoom, and locking of focus and exposure points. And for editing tools, you have auto-enhancement, cropping, sharpening, color adjustment, levels, vignette adjustment, and more.
The new version of Flickr for iOS is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.1 or later.
Flickr for iOS was significantly revamped through its 2.0 update last December. Since then, it has also been updated with improved social media integration, photo saving, social tagging, and hashtag support.
