Momento Updated With Moves Integration, Photo Reminders, Moment Sharing And More
September 15, 2013
Momento has just received another major update, which pushes the popular journal app to version 2.5.
Nope, contrary to what you might expect, this new update, which comes just a few days ahead of the release of iOS 7, does not introduce a new iOS 7-ready design for Momento.
Momento 2.5 does, however, bring a number of notable features.
One of these is integration with Moves, making Momento the latest journal app to support the activity tracking app following Grid Diary and Narrato Journal. Moves integration in Momento allows you to track the places you visit and your daily activity along with your moments right within the app.
Another new feature is support for daily photo reminders, which automatically launch Momento into camera mode for quick capture. What's more, you can set each photo reminder to open camera mode either with the rear camera or the front camera.
Momento 2.5 also adds the ability to share moments by email, iMessage, Facebook, or Twitter on iDevices running iOS 6.0 or later. Moreover, on iDevices running iOS 5.0 or later, it adds support for sending exports and backups to other apps, including Dropbox and Google Drive.
Momento 2.5 also includes the following enhancements:
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch (yep, still no native iPad support) running iOS 4.3 or later, Momento 2.5 is available now in the App Store for free. Momento normally goes for $2.99, but it has been available to download at no cost since it went free several weeks ago following its 2.4 update. Momento 2.4 added support for reminders, tagging of nearby places, and multiple photo selection, among other enhancements. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
