Huawei Tries To Sell Its New Devices By Bashing Siri

February 17, 2014
Huawei has definitely chosen an interesting way to tease some of its new devices. The Chinese manufacturer is planning to unveil a number of products at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. And the company released one of the strangest Apple-bashing videos you’ll ever see on YouTube today. Here’s the complete video. Click here if you can’t see it. The minute-long video features a man speaking to a bad Siri clone. After asking it to show him something amazing, the “assistant” touts a new tablet with a slim design and “huge” battery and a smartphone with an amazing front camera. In a laughable dig at Apple and Samsung, the man asks, near the end of the video, whether the new devices are “Fruit or Some Song?” But clone Siri relies “No. They are Huawei. It looks like Huawei is ready to amaze the world again.” I don’t exactly remember the first time Huawei amazed the world, but maybe that’s just me. No matter, the new devices will definitely have to be much better than the teaser video.
