Cydia Tweak: The Popular Ayeris For iOS 7 Launches For iPad

March 5, 2014

If you're a fan of iOS jailbreak themes, the popular ayeris for iOS 7 (pronounced “iris”) is available to download now for the iPad. You can pick up the jailbreak theme for $3.99 in the Cydia Store, and an iPhone version is also available for the same price.

The package does require Jay Freeman's WinterBoard app, but this'll be bundled together with ayeris if you don't already have the free package installed. Once enabled and activated, ayeris adds a nice redesign to Apple's iOS 7 that seems to take influence from the mobile OS, but which also alters the appearance of the software in a number of ways.

Its creator, @surenix (one of the jailbreak masterminds behind evasion7), explains in the package's release notes:

The icons that shipped with iOS 7 only seem to be on the way there and need more refining and that's what ayeris was set to do. Design isn't always about making drastic changes. It's about making something good, even better and truly beautiful.

More than 200 redesigned icons ship with ayeris, as well as system-wide user interface (UI) alterations and a refreshed Settings application, the designer adds. The theme also includes six high-resolution wallpapers and redesigned iOS status bar icons, too.

As mentioned, you can pick up ayeris for iPad in the Cydia Store for $3.99, and it's optimized for iOS 7.

Besides ayeris, a handful of other iOS 7 customization packages have launched in the Cydia Store recently, and these include StatusBarSuite, Carla, and Springtomize 3. IntelliScreenX, an intelligent Lock screen replacement from the folks at a Intelliborn, also appeared recently.
