SoundHound Update Makes The Music-Tagging App Even Better

May 15, 2014
My favorite music-tagging app, SoundHound, has just received a big update with the move to version 6.0. Most importantly, SoundHound has unveiled redesigned song, artist, and album pages. The song page features new photo galleries of favorite artists, more relevant music videos, enhanced recommended songs, and all albums that the song appears on. With the artist page, music lovers can see when and where the band was formed along with a complete biography. You’ll also see top songs, top videos, and all albums by the artist. The album page showcases the album release date, reviews, and tracks. A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, SoundHound can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. An ad-free version, SoundHound ∞, will set you back $6.99. Before the most recent update, version 5.8 arrived in late February. That version brought integration with Spotify and more. If you’re looking for an alternative to SoundHound, Shazam has also just received a nice update. Version 7.6 improves how users can tag television shows and support for the LINE messaging app. For other app news and reviews today, see: Use Your iPhone's Rotation To Master The Arcade Game In Bricks, As 9/11 Memorial Museum Opens, An Audio Guide Arrives On The App Store, and Foursquare's New Swarm iOS App Is Finally On The App Store.
