Autodesk's Instructables DIY App Goes 2.0 With iPad Support And iOS 7 Redesign

June 22, 2014
Instructables, the popular do-it-yourself website owned by Autodesk, has just updated its official iOS app to version 2.0. Arriving nearly a year and a half after the app's launch for iPhone and iPod touch, Instructables 2.0 happens to be the app's long-awaited universal update. As a result, the app is now natively compatible with iPad and iPad mini. As well, arriving nine months after the release of iOS 7, Instructables 2.0 happens to be the update that optimizes the app for Apple's mobile operating system. Most noticeably, the app has done away with its outdated iOS 6 look in favor of a more modern design, both for its original iPhone and new iPad editions, based on the visual style of iOS 7. As before, Instructables features an impressive collection of user-created do-it-yourself projects. "From useful and entertaining how-tos and hacks, to delicious recipes and outrageous inventions, Instructables is the place to explore, document, and share your creations," Autodesk notes. "With over 100k tutorials in technology, workshop, living, and more, we have the largest collection of do-it-yourself projects created by others just like you." Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, Instructables 2.0 is available now on the App Store for free.
