Uber updates official car-booking iOS app especially for business travelers
August 5, 2014
The popular car-booking service provider Uber has just updated its official iOS app. And it means business. Uber for Business, to be exact.
Indeed, the app now officially supports Uber for Business, which makes for easier corporate travel. As noted by Uber in a recent blog post:
You asked, we delivered. Today, Uber is truly open for . . . business. As business travel with Uber has increased, we’ve heard from loyal users that the ability to use a shareable business account would make their lives a lot more seamless – and a lot more Uber. With Uber for Business, you, as an administrator, can enroll your organization by adding a credit card as a payment method and adding employees using only their names and email addresses. As an employee of an organization enrolled in Uber for Business, you can expect to receive an invite email from Uber, link or create an Uber account, and select your company's payment method every time you travel for business purposes. Essentially, Uber for Business enables you to bill trips directly to your company via a centralized billing system. What's more, it lets you connect your Uber account and your account on the Concur business expense management system to have e-receipts sent straight to your expense reports. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, the new Business-ready version of Uber is available now on the App Store for free.
