Microsoft Outlook updated with a new calendar Notification Center widget
One of the best third-party email apps for iOS, Microsoft Outlook, has gotten even better with an update to version 2.1.5.

Users can now take advantage of a new calendar widget that shows a quick glance of the day’s activities. To view the widget, go to the bottom of your Notification Center screen and select edit. You’ll then choose Outlook.
The widget looks similar to the well-designed calendar layout in the app. Being able to view your schedule without opening up the app itself is definitely a big plus and makes the app that much more useful.
It’s also another sign that Sunrise Calendar is moving closer to its susnet. The popular app was acquired by Microsoft in early 2015. Back in October, the company announced plans to discontinue the app after more calendar features were integrated into Outlook.
In the new update, the three-day calendar view now also displays the location and the attendees of your events and meetings.
Wrap-up
Microsoft Outlook is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
Apple Watch users can also take advantage of the app on the wearable device. Here’s an interactive preview of that app from our sister site WatchAware.
