Timing is Key in the New Minimalistic Arcade Game Symmetrica
Relaxing isn’t a phrase I’d use to describe the large majority of games on the App Store today. But Symmetrica is a bit different. Officially billed as a minimalistic arcade game, timing is everything.
A relaxing treat
The game features beautiful graphics and a nice soundtrack.
The concept of the game is simple. To pass each level, you’ll need to shoot the moving, blue projectiles into the stationary green circles by touching the screen.
Starting out is easy, but as you progress, the game ramps up the difficulty level. You’ll need perfect timing to accomplish the task or the level will restart.

Symmetrica is universal and can be played on the iPhone/iPod touch, all iPad models, and the fourth-generation Apple TV. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for $1.99.
While it’s far from action-packed, I was really impressed with the gameplay on the Apple TV. The combination of the beautiful graphics and great music really add up to a great experience on the big screen.
It’s perfect for a quick and easy gaming session after a long day or to just clear your mind as you focus on getting the timing down. I definitely hope to see additional levels added in the future.
