Before becoming Alkebulan Savings Club, the proprietor had been involved in the ‘susu’ savings initiative where families in need of financial management advice had been brought together to put money away week by week or month by month until they had enough money saved to buy or spend it on what they had wanted. The scheme operated within the local community for many years and is now taking on the established banks to offer its customers alternative savings schemes and first-hand practical financial solution.
