App Store Description
AppGap is a Web App runtime environment, which allows you to locally cache HTML5 based web apps, which then run locally on your iPad within a WebKit view, even with no internet connection.
Ideal for document sets and local web site copies for trade shows where internet or Wifi connectivity may be unreliable.
To create a cached site/webapp, ensure your Web site contains only local relative links, like "/information.index" rather than absolute http:// links. Ensure your site has an index.html file, and also an index.png (which will become the icon in AppGap. Now zip the entire contents of the site folder (which will become your app name), and place this zip file in an HTTP location accessible to the AppGap app. In AppGap, enter this URL and AppGap will download the site, unzip it and add your index.png icon to the AppGap main page. When you select this icon, AppGap will present your website in a local WebKit window with local files, not using any http links. You can also upload your site folder directly to AppGap using FTP on port 20000. The FTP server is available whilst the upload/download dialog box is on screen.
