Bookmarks is a literary arts nonprofit whose mission is to connect readers with authors and books. In addition to the Festival, Bookmarks produces a Schools Initiative, a Summer Reading Program, and year-round author and reading events around the Triad community and in its new gathering space and nonprofit independent bookstore that opened in July 2017. In 2017, Bookmarks reached 40,000 people through its programming and hopes to reach more than 55,000 in 2018.
