Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) a federation established in 1929, is a National Sport Federation recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, New Delhi and is a member of the Indian Olympic Association, member of other Asian and World bodies which regulates the cue sports across the world.

BSFI’s main objective is to promote Billiards, Snooker and other related sports in India. We conduct and organize tournaments/championships in India to promote the Billiards and Snooker sport. These events provide a platform to showcase the talent of Indian Players.

We promote Indian Players to represent our Country at various international tournaments like ACBS Asian Championships, IBSF World Championships, etc. BSFI has been instrumental in hosting numerous Asian and World Championships across the country.

28 States/UTs and 02 promotion boards (Petroleum and Railways) are affiliated to the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India.

Ours is the only game amongst a very few which has been honoured and conferred by two Khel Ratna awards to Mr Geet Sethi (1992) and Mr Pankaj Advani (2006). Apart from the Khel Ratna awards, many of our World Champions have been conferred with Padma and Arjuna awards. Our game has earned over 50 World Championship titles for India and an equivalent number of medals in Asian Championships. The Indian cue sport is recognized all across the world. Players like Wilson Jones, Michael Ferreira, Geet Sethi, Om Agarwal, Manoj Kothari, Pankaj Advani, Ashok Shandilya, Yasin Merchant, Laxman Singh Rawat, Rupesh Shah, Sourav Kothari, Shrikrishna and many others are World and Asian champions.
