What is it about?

This is a HIPAA compliant mobile messenger app for Care In Touch Home Health Agency. Users can create individual accounts or sign up as members of an agency. Once an account is created, users can chat with other members, create groups, and create group chats within each group. Users can also create subgroups when there are new critical messages within the original group and select relevant people as members of the subgroup chat. Users have the ability to back up messages, upload images and files, forward messages and re-upload messages within a group chat when a new member is added to the group. Users can also send mass/broadcast messages, share location, do voice recordings, take photos, mute themselves for a specific length of time, or leave groups. Users have the ability to reply to specific messages and create a thread. Within each group chat, users have the option to only select members of that group who will be notified, but everyone can still read the message. The default behavior is that everyone in the group chat will be notified when there is a new message. Users will be able to see the status of the message (sent/delivered/read). Users have the option to send a priority message. The group or individual recipient will keep receiving reminders until the message is read. Users can send custom messages to specific office members to notify them if a clinician is running late, unable to contact PT, or there is a missed visit. There are different access levels for office users versus standard users. With group chats, users can easily select a predetermined group of people instead of adding every single member in the group chat. Users can easily backup messages with pictures into pdf to save in a patient’s chart. Each message will have a visible date and time stamp. Users have the ability to delete/recall a message or multiple messages in a group chat. They can also search for messages, keywords, or names. The number of unread messages in each chat group will be displayed. Users have the ability to edit their profile info. If a user is using the app for multiple agencies, then the user will be able to view/access messages for different agencies, assuming the same email is used to sign up. Only users defined in one agency can be added in a patient group. The administrator will be able to see inactive users.
