Connect MS

This app was developed by the Mississippi State University Extension Service – Extension Center for Technology Outreach and provides Mississippians an innovative way to locate available broadband Internet access around the state.

This broadband app allows users three options to locate broadband Internet service around the state.

The first option is to locate an address by tapping on a map. After the location is selected, a list will appear with broadband and wireless providers.

The second option is to locate an address by current location. Once the location is identified, a list of broadband and wireless providers will appear.

The third option is to locate by typing in a specific address. Once a valid address is entered by the user, a list of broadband providers will appear.

Most other states provide a broadband mapping tool hosted on websites. In Mississippi we decided to take it a step further and not only provide more options for users to obtain a list of broadband providers but also make it mobile since the majority of Internet users now access the Internet through their mobile devices.
