This demo

This demo is an example to demonstrate how to confirm ingenuity of a QR code based on data validation. Data validation is one of the simplest ways to check if a product is genuine.

In this demo we use a 2D printed code (QR-code or DataMatrix), which carries original production and vendor information and the per personalized product identifier. From the code we are collecting serial number and checking against a database record. If the identified serial number is listed in the database on so called “white list” means serial number is known and declared as genuine by the database owner we will confirm in this demo it is a genuine product. If the serial number is not known or listed on “gray list” or on “black list” in the database we will declare it as suspicious one. Something is suspicious means further investigation recommended. Suggested to seek and check validity on another identifier.
