FitBiz utilizes "Wellness Breaks," pulled from a wellness/exercise library and sent out to users throughout the day. Each element of the program is customizable – from the exercise library to the number of WBs per day. Each WB includes a verbal description of the activity or activities, a photo, and a video demonstration, which makes this inclusive of all exercise levels. FitBiz is designed to accommodate corporate and individual users.
Benefits:
• All items within a WB are able to be done in work attire, at your desk or in just a small space, and in 5-10 minutes.
o Special consideration has been given to beginners who, with the help of FitBiz, will be able to engage in wellness at their own pace and in their own space.
• FitBiz encourages ALL users to engage -- not just those already active people. If you're someone who hasn't worked out in months or years, even a 30-minute workout can seem overwhelming; however, if you break your exercise up into smaller sessions, it becomes quite manageable.
• Wellness breaks integrated throughout the workday are scientifically proven to not only improve the health of employees, but also the financial health of the company.
o Wellness breaks increase blood flow to vital organs, increase synapses in the brain, improve creativity, focus, decision-making, and ultimately, productivity.
• Competition and Incentives: At the most basic level, an employer using this app can opt to use simple badges as their incentives, and we know that pride can be just as great a motivator as anything. Or, if you'd like, there is an option to upload (at cost) a bank of incentives available to your employees after they achieve the number of WBs that you deem worthy of a prize. This bank could include anything from concert tickets to PTO to cash -- because we know people are not motivated by the same things.
