What is it about?
The fourth greenmeetings and events Conference will be held in the metropolitan region of Stuttgart from 13th to 14th of February 2017. Since 2011, the conference organizers - the European Association of Event Centres (EVVC) and the German Convention Bureau (GCB) - have offered the opportunity for around 400 attendees to exchange ideas about future-focused topics on sustainable event management every two years. At the conference, attendees – ranging from specialists and managers of conference and exhibition centres, hotels or arenas, to service providers with connections to the meetings industry – get to know the newest trends in sustainable event planning. They will be given a platform for an exchange of ideas, while creating a broad-based awareness of sustainable approaches to meetings and other events. Alongside the two forums of Technology and Marketing & Communication, there will be a special emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility this year. In addition to presentations on Best Practice, excursions and workshops, the conference offers the opportunity to discuss current issues, for example: “What’s the best way to commercialize a sustainable event?” “How can old buildings be repurposed sustainably?” or “What possibilities are there for implementing Corporate Social Responsibility?
