Goldie Health empowers response teams to save and support those in acute opioid crisis. When someone overdoses on opioids, there is a 72-hour golden window when that patient has a high risk of a fatal overdose and also a greater openness to treatment.
Goldie is a workflow automation and benchmarking tool for opioid response teams and other mobile integrated healthcare workers. Goldie improves opioid response team efficiency and effectiveness while also providing evidence of best practices. By deploying Goldie, a response team will be able to serve more patients more effectively. Use of Goldie requires an executed license contract and business associate agreement.
Goldie includes features to detect, engage, and convert to care patients with opioid use disorder. These features include:
- Configure users including peer support specialists, community paramedics, and other team stakeholders.
- Track patients from detection in emergency management systems and electronic health records, through assessment, tasks, encounters, and ongoing engagement.
- Track details about patients such as demographics, overdose history, drug-use, employment status, housing, and so forth
- Make it easier to find patients again by taking, with their permission, their picture. Locate patient by street address or, for non-traditional locations such as tent-encampment, use a dropped pin on a map.
- Assessments upon initial engagement as well as 7-day, 2-week, 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 9-month time frames. Assessments capture the patient's social determinants of health needs, past attempts at recovery, receptiveness to medication assisted treatment, and other factors impacting care planning.
- Track Tasks identified to address the patients needs including assignment to the the correct user, task status, and completion notes.
- Track Encounters with the patient whether in-person, by phone, text, video calls or social media.
- Maintain a team Resource Library of the social services available such as homeless shelters, syringe exchange, addiction treatment, and other servicesOffline Access enables the application to function even when the user does not have Internet access such as in rural areas
- Digitally Sign & Share Consents, Releases of Information
- Use the Goldie Admin portal (not available through mobile app) for analytics and reporting.
