App Store Description

Hand surgery patients are part of a larger population that is now more connected than ever with respect to information available to them via their personal mobile devices. Currently, there does not exist a platform for patients to have directed hand therapy instructions and reinforcement from their clinic and physiotherapy visits. Because of this, there are missed opportunities to expedite and optimize their recover from a wide range of hand related conditions, injuries and surgical interventions.

The ‘Hand in Hand’ app allows patients to use the power of their smartphones to access medical information and instructions for directed hand therapy. The app contains informational content in both the form of video clips and text, along with reminder notifications to perform exercises to support patients hand and wrist therapy. After downloading the app from the iOS Store, the therapist will be able to inform and assign the patient to various modules of the app that are appropriate for their recovery.
