App Store Description

Created in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department, Community Policing Centre’s and Citizens Crime Watch with funding from the Vancouver Police Foundation, the iPatrol+ App is designed to assist and record the activities of community policing volunteers while on patrol in their communities.

Within the iPatrol+ App, patrol routes, activities and community interactions are documented. Volunteers can record the location and incidences of graffiti, abandoned autos, drug and alcohol use, erratic and dangerous driving and illegal dumping to name several.

At the end of the patrol, records are then emailed to the community policing centre in a PDF and Excel document. Community policing centre’s within Vancouver will also have access to a web browser that will be able to display the routes and recorded incidents on a map to better serve their communities. Additionally, the app can also email city and social services to advise them of documented issues.
