However, you can also choose from premixed channels based on moods, occasion, or genre. While Jango is ad-supported, the ads are all visual and you don't get interrupted by audio commercials.

Craft your own radio station. Within Jango Radio Mobile, you'll find a wide variety of musical choices to enjoy. Like other streaming music services, you can create your own custom stations based on your preferences for genre, artist, or songs. The app is simple and clean, without a lot of bells and whistles to confuse you or lead you astray. Just create your station, and keep customizing it by giving the songs that play a thumbs up or thumbs down. Make sure you do it when the song is playing, though, since Jango's interface doesn't give you a history page where you can see and interact with the tunes you've already listened to.

Musical exploration made easy. Jango gives you plenty of options for exploring music. You can choose stations based on genre, mood, top charts, or even activity. Looking for the perfect playlist to help you drift off to sleep? Jango has several to choose from, and like other stations within the app, you can customize them even further using the thumbs up and thumbs down controls.

Today's top 100. A cool station within Jango allows you to listen to the top 100 tracks that have been played that day. The "Today's Top 100" channel is automatically added to your "My Stations" tab, so it's right there for you to check out. This is an excellent way to find out what's trending and even explore new artists and songs. With Jango, you'll never not have something to listen to that isn't interesting.

What is it about?

Fire up Jango Radio Mobile, tell it your favorite artist, and let 'er rip. Or, if you'd rather explore some different tunes, you can do that, too, with a wide variety of premixed stations to choose from. When you've created your own station, familiar thumbs up and thumbs down controls let you customize your playlist even further. Unfortunately, there's no history page, so you can't go back and thumbs down a song (or give it a thumbs up) if you get sidetracked and don't do it while the track is playing. They key differentiator between Jango and Pandora, though, is that the ads within the app are all pop-ups, without any audio interruptions.

Jango has a great selection of music, even if its catalog might not be as vast as Spotify's or Apple Music's. It's totally free, though, and as long as you don't mind viewing the occasional ad when you unlock your phone, there are no commercial interruptions at all. That's right, folks, Jango has managed to do all of their ads visually, without any audio commercials.
