App Store Description

Luna is an educational game to help students improve their spatial reasoning with focus on the relationship between the Earth, the Sun, and the Moon. I developed this app at University of Southern Maine working closely with Dr. Julie Ziffer as a tool to help astronomy teachers supplement their lessons. We hope that you can enjoy it as much as we do.

Features:
- Free play mode
- Gyroscope based 360 view in space
- Game to learn phases of the Moon
- Game to learn how to tell time based on the Moon
- Diagrams to help understand the position of spatial objects

One of the biggest challenges that students in sciences have is being able to visualize objects in 3D space. Studies show that this skill is not something you're born with, and that you can learn it by practice. Since many curriculums don't have any extra space for an additional class, this skill needs to be taught within other science classes. Luna attempts to teach spatial reasoning with an emphasis on astronomy. We hope that teachers and students can enjoy Luna and benefit from it at the same time.

We're always open to improving our game, so if you have any suggestions or bugs to report, please reach out, and we'll do our best to help you. :)
