Welcome to MealPilot, your personal co-pilot for eating mindfully and pacing your meals. MealPilot leverages scientifically proven techniques that support a positive connection between body, mind and food. More than just another self-care app, MealPilot helps users habituate a positive relationship with eating.

HOW IT WORKS
MealPilot helps you navigate your meals using mindfulness prompts and regularly scheduled check-ins in which you answer simple yet powerful questions to keep your body, mind and meal synchronized. We recommend you start using MealPilot while eating solo, but the app can also be used when eating with others.


STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
• Choose your meal type: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner – or even Snack or Dessert!
• Start with the default meal settings (you can adjust these in the future) and tap Start.
• Place your phone on the table, screen facing up. For optimal results, do not use your phone during your meal apart from interacting with the app.
• Your screen becomes a dashboard showing your meal progress. Read the mindful eating reminders, and use the timer to suggest when you should conduct a check-in. Simply tap Pause to take a break.
• When the timer hits 00:00, you will be asked to check in by answering a short questionnaire that connects the dots between body, mind and meal.
• Your check-ins collect data that will show your progress after your meal is finished. Of course, it is completely acceptable to skip check-ins.
• After your meal, you will see a summary of your progress. Go to Stats for your combined statistics, progress charts and your meal history.

MealPilot is never about whether you ate “too much” or “not enough”. Rather, the app helps keep your body and mind stay in tune while eating, helping achieve your food-related goals.

• There is no right or wrong way to use MealPilot. Use it every day, week or month or anywhere in between!
• Regular usage provides optimal results for habituating a mindful relationship with food that you can carry with you even outside the app. Using MealPilot even once in a while can provide immediate benefits in fostering mindfulness while eating.
• Experiment with MealPilot to find how it best works for you. The app is free for up to three meals per week. Users can optionally upgrade to Premium with advanced features and data tracking.
