Mellow: Kid's Personal Finance

*Overview*
Mellow is Asia's first and only personal finance solution for families. As an Edtech and Fintech solution, Mellow tackles the Asia-wide problem of financial illiteracy and bad personal finance habits - which is a habit built strongly during childhood.

Financial activities between parents and kids are turned into a closed system under Mellow, integrating finance, education, & family values.

*Awards & Recognition*
Mellow is Alibaba Jumpstarter's Top 12 Startups and Top 3 in Financial Services in HK, and an awardee of FinTech Award by EtNet along with awardees like HSBC, DBS, Alipay. Mellow is currently a Cyberport HK Incubatee, and has been covered by major media, including SCMP, MingPao, and Wenweipo.

*App Features*
The app is separated into two interfaces, one for the children, and one for their parents. Parents provide allowances and interests, tasks and rewards through the app. The major features on Mellow include: Saving, Wishlist, Earning, Expense, Analytics, Learning.

1. Saving
Children can save their allowances with their parents and earn interests on money saved. Interests are calculated and recorded by Mellow but provided by the parents.

2. Wishlist
As part of goal-based saving, children can add wishes to save towards with clear progression to achieve their goals, where Mellow will advise the kids on how much they have to save more or spend less each month to achieve the goals realistically.

3. Earning
Parents can list chores/tasks on Mellow, for example, clean the washroom for $10. Children can choose to take it, depending on their financial situation and earning goals.

4. Spending
Recording in a fun journal, products prices and types would be recorded.

5. Analytics
Insights on financial activity trends, budget goals reached, spending patterns, etc.

6. Learning
Receive correct financial knowledge young, provided by professionals and officials.

7. Push Feed for Parents
Mellow provides convenience to the parents by sending them push feeds
when strange financial activities from kids’ accounts are detected.
