What is it about?
Moby.Read is an app for early readers. It presents self-administered tests of oral reading fluency. Moby.Read is voice-interactive and fully automated – administration, response capture, scoring and reporting. Children in grades 1-5 get directions by video to read text passages aloud, then retell the passages and answer questions. Students’ spoken responses are scored automatically on the device and are playable for teacher review. The iPad will immediately score reading performances for reading level, comprehension, expression, accuracy, and words correct per minute. The audio responses and scores are available on Moby’s teacher pages.
