Create new tasks anywhere. Thanks to the share sheet extensions in iOS, now you can add tasks from anywhere on iOS with an extension. So you don't have to be in OmniFocus 2 to add a new task to your inbox. You can even take action on notifications right as they pop up without going into the app itself. Pretty nifty, right?
OmniFocus 2's home screen. Everything in OmniFocus 2 is organized and simple to navigate. The home screen is a great way to see what you have coming up in a single glance. The numbers tell you how many items are in that section, and tapping on one will take you directly to that view. It's never been so easy to be organized.
The great Forecast. The Forecast in OmniFocus 2 is one of the best features of the app. It gives you a view of today and the next five days, so you basically get the week in a glance. See how many tasks are due on each day, and you can also see if there's anything you missed from the past. The colored check circles make it easy to tell what is upcoming and what is past due. Stay on top of your tasks and never be disorganized again with OmniFocus 2.
What is it about?
If you want to be super productive, then you need OmniFocus 2. This powerful task manager app follows the Getting Things Done (GTD) system, where users create projects, custom perspectives, location-based reminders, delegate, and review all of their tasks. While OmniFocus 2 is known to have a steep learning curve and can be quite costly for the entire suite, it is a powerful and fairly customizable solution for those who want the best task management software their money can buy. It's also the best choice if you want to go with the traditional GTD system.
For those who...
- Want a task management system that follows the strict rules of GTD
- Prefer a complicated, robust, and powerful system that can be completely customized and tailored for your needs
Not for those who...
- Don't need a complex system
- Want a task management app that is suitable for a reasonable budget
Why we love it
The complexity of the app may scare us at first, but it is one of the most flexible and customizable options out there. There are not many limits with OmniFocus 2, and while it can be expensive for all the apps, it's well worth the cost for productivity nuts like us.
