App Store Description

This innovative yoga app provides insightful instruction to yogis from all corners of the practice. Going beyond a single yoga system, each sequence builds on svadyaya (self-study) to help everybody discover their anatomy, energy, and mind.

Onward Facing Yoga is a free app with five sequences and full functionality. The paid version includes an additional six sequences, 11 sequences in total.

Choose a sequence that best meets your needs and abilities, then press play. You’ll be guided with accurate, easy-to-follow instructions. You can also customize your practice to fit your schedule by lengthening or shortening any sequence.

For yoga teachers: Each sequence includes a guide sheet with English and Sanskrit names of every pose and cues that tie the practice together. You can use this app as material for a class you’ve just been asked to sub for in 15 minutes or as a springboard for developing your own ideas.

The sequences are designed and led by Pittsburgh-based Richard Gartner, who cultivates an exciting independent spirit in yoga. He fosters a non-dogmatic and compassionate attitude about students' faculty and circumstances.
