What is it about?
In November 1996 Mark Tomlinson flew to Australia to attend the Advanced Propeller Course at Propeller Dynamics, in Southport, where he was introduced to the finer aspects of propeller theory, propeller design, propeller assessment and propeller optimization. After the two week training course Mark returned to the USA and moved from Maryland to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to establish a propeller optimization facility called Precision Prop Technology. Precision Prop Technology took delivery of their first Prop Scan during late November 1996 and opened for business 4 months later. In July 1997 Mark sent Chuck Meyers to Australia to be formerly trained in Prop Scan optimization techniques. Fourteen months after opening, Precision Prop Technology took delivery of their second Prop Scan. Mark's business continued to grow and he purchased a third machine in May 2000. Before this business venture Mark was a Marina Manager with no propeller optimization experience.
