This app allows retailers to accept Alipay payments from Chinese customers at points of sale using their iPhone or iPad. Scan Alipay by Wirecard is particularly suitable for smaller retailers or restaurants who want to accept the most popular mobile payment method in China, Alipay, without the hassle and cost of integrating a checkout system.

HOW TO USE THE SCAN ALIPAY APP:
In order to accept Alipay payments as simply and quickly as accepting credit card payments, the retailer should first download the Scan Alipay app. Then the retailer needs to register with Wirecard via the registration button on the login page. The verification process only takes a few days. Afterwards, Wirecard will send the login details for the Scan Alipay app to the retailer. When a Chinese customer then wishes to pay using their Alipay Wallet, the salesperson will enter the purchase price into the Scan Alipay app. The customer will open the Alipay Wallet on their smartphone and show their QR code. The retailer then scans the QR Code with Scan Alipay using the scan function on their iPhone or iPad. Occasionally the customer has to confirm the payment by entering a PIN code to complete the transaction.
