Change will happen within your personal and professional workplace settings. If we want change to be successful, we must all learn how to manage it and include people’s needs.
The SCARED SO WHAT personal change model is the first bespoke model to help users learn how to manage personal change for themselves. Regardless of if the change is positive, neutral, or negative, learning how to manage it can make it bearable and achievable. We can accept or reject change, and that is ok. But how will we manage it?
The first part of the app is a series of videos where you learn about personal change and how to manage it. Watch the videos to ensure you have an understanding of what is personal change and how SCARED SO WHAT can help you.
The next part encourages you to focus on your feelings and asks you to critically reflect on what is happening to you. This is achieved with a 30-question quiz to understand how you are feeling towards the change. Many questions are similar, and they are intended to be that way. The goal is to stop and reflect on change so you can make the best decision about it.
SO WHAT is where you build your own personal strategy and plan to execute your change in the way you want it to happen. In each section, you direct the actions or options you feel are necessary to achieve in creating a detailed thought process map of how you will execute your change. This allows you to take responsibility for the change you are involved within. SCARED SO WHAT helps guide us to make informed decisions and actions and stops us from making assumptions or unnecessary reactions towards change. You do not have to be scared to use it. It works for all types of change.
