"Shibuya is a touch-controlled narcotic with a beautiful art style, amazing soundtrack, and clever puzzle mechanic." -Gameshack

"Shibuya is a great puzzler that I recommend without hesitation. It’s rare to find a fresh color-matching puzzle game, but Shibuya succeeds" -IGN(8.5/10

"While Shibuya is very easy-to-learn, it isn’t so easy to put down once you get hooked by its charms… as the game says, 'everything falls into place'." -Macworld

__________

Shibuya is an atmospheric, challenging, and highly addictive little puzzle game. The gameplay is entirely unique -- this is not a clone of any other puzzle concept -- and is designed specifically to take advantage of a touch screen.

As a constant stream of empty blocks falls from the top of the screen, whichever one you tap is filled with the next color from the color previews. Fill the blocks before they land, taking into account colors which have already fallen and lining up pairs in reverse. Tap matched groups of two or more to remove them and make more room. Fill the screen with several matched colors to form combos, or group many of the same color for a Massive or Supermassive. If the stack hits the top of the screen and the timer runs out, it's game over.

It's a deceptively simple concept which proves to be both addictive and challenging -- almost nobody survives the two-minute Quickplay mode on their first attempts. But as players get better they're pulled into a game with surprising strategic depth. You'll learn to combine patience and speed, and use advanced techniques to consistently create large combos and groupings as required to score maximum points and progress in the game's level system -- the later challenges and online rankings will have you coming back for months.

Shibuya's two-minute Quickplay mode is designed to be played on the go, while Endless is great for just zoning out to music or seeing how long you can last. Five different speed classes let you choose your own pace, but you haven't mastered the game until you can survive "Gentle Rain." Shibuya features a focused, modern design aesthetic and includes an entire EP of fully-licensed music -- five tracks from Millionyoung. Players can also listen to their own music in-game by starting it before opening the app.
